I have been accepted… What’s Next?

Welcome to Fultwood Outdoors Academy (FWOA)! We’re excited to have you on this journey with us. Now that you have been accepted, here’s what you need to do next!

Step 1: Unenroll Your Child from Public School

To begin, you must withdraw your child from public school and register them as a homeschool student.

For Traditional Homeschool Students

You must submit a Notice of Intent to the Polk County Home Education Office to officially register your child as a homeschool student.

Once submitted, your child will be officially recognized as a homeschool student in Florida.

Step 2: For PEP Scholarship Students

Important: If your child has been awarded the PEP Scholarship, you must follow a different process (DO NOT submit the Notice of Intent for UA students).

Instead, you must terminate your child's enrollment from public school by submitting the Home Education Termination Form to the Polk County Home Education Office.

Selecting "Enrolling in PEP"

When completing the Home Education Termination Form, make sure to check the option for "Enrolling in PEP" to ensure your child is properly registered under the PEP Scholarship program.

Step 3: Enroll with Fultwood Outdoors Academy

Once your Notice of Intent or PEP Termination Form is filed, our team at FWOA will assist you with:
Class Registration – Selecting the right courses for your child
Transcripts & Record Keeping – Keeping track of all coursework
Elective Selection – Options like sports training, outdoor education, and life skills programs

Athletic Registration: Step-by-Step Guide

Starting next year, we are transitioning to a new online platform called Aktivate for all athletic registrations. Please read the steps below carefully to ensure a smooth registration process.

Step 1: Get Your Physical Form

  • Important: A signed physical form is still required before participation.

Step 2: Register Online Using Aktivate

  • We are now using Aktivate for all athletic registration.
  • Once you have your signed physical form, you will upload it directly to the platform.
  • All other registration steps will be completed online through Aktivate.
  • Instructions and directions for using Aktivate.

Step 3: Complete Required Videos

  • As part of the registration process, students must watch a few mandatory videos on the Aktivate platform.
  • These are required for eligibility and must be completed before participation.

Step 4: Additional Requirement for Home Education Students

  • Home Education students must complete the EL07 form before participating in any athletic program.
  • The form can be found at: www.fhsaa.com under the Parents tab.
  • Once completed, the EL07 form can be submitted:
  • Electronically via email, or
  • In person to the athletic department.
  • We will handle the rest after submission.
